Ordinary Seaman - SF

Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines) is looking for competent Ordinary Seaman with relevant seagoing experience, willing to be trained, challenged and expand their knowledge onboard our technically advanced container vessels with the best and latest machinery.

A key position in the deck department onboard one of the world’s largest Container shipping company where seafarers are onboarded and equipped to perform and contribute to deliver the vessel commitments. Seafarers are trained and guided in achieving their personal development and career advancement. We ensure to prioritize health and safety, promote diversity and inclusion and at all times carry out the upright practice both at sea and ashore.

Recruitment Criteria:
- Minimum of 12 months sea service experience on deck on foreign going ships
- Working knowledge of spoken English
- Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security related duties
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire-Abandonship-Man overboard-Oil Spill)
- Awareness of Safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents
- Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements

- Surface maintenance, painting system
- Use of maintenance and power tools
- Understanding of look out duties
