About the company

Zefir is a French proptech marketplace that speeds up real estate transactions by connecting homeowners with a network of real estate agents through a collective sales model. Homeowners list properties, which are exposed to a broader pool of qualified buyers via partner agents, with a lead agent handling viewings and negotiations; the platform charges a take rate as its fee, and buyers get an AI-powered experience with ZIA, while brokers receive AI-assisted task automation. Unlike traditional single-agent listings, Zefir leverages a network of agents and AI on both the buy and sell sides to speed deals and reduce manual work. Its goal is to expand across France and beyond, grow its AI capabilities and agent network, and increase annual home sales by making the process faster and easier for homeowners, buyers, and agents.

What believers are saying

  • September 2025's €15 million round, led by FinTech Collective, funds expansion.
  • Zefir plans top-15-city coverage and workforce doubling by 2026, signaling aggressive growth.
  • August 2026 hiring for engineering, sales, and operations shows active scaling rather than retrenchment.

What critics are saying

  • French proptech rivals Casavo, Homeloop, and Clikalia pressure Zefir's take-rate economics.
  • Zefir's September 2025 funding still totals only €50 million, limiting war-chest depth.
  • Heavy dependence on French housing transaction volume creates an existential slowdown risk if agents defect.

What makes Zefir unique

  • Zefir's collective-selling network cut average sales time to 58 days by September 2025.
  • Its platform spans 100,000+ properties across Paris, Lyon, Lille, and Nantes.
  • ZIA, launched September 2025, adds buyer-side AI on top of agent workflow automation.
