Requirements
  • Experience in development and delivery of leadership development training programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership to develop targeted training solutions.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including use of multiple media, clarity of presentation, knowledge of content, ability to connect with a variety of participants and manage participants’ experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in instructional design and ability to develop engaging, learner-centered content using adult learning principles and instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups effectively direct work, delegate responsibilities, persuade and influence others to accomplish objectives.
  • Sense of urgency and high attention to detail, promoting open communication and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to assess risks, evaluate options, and choose effective solutions.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using Learning Management Systems and digital learning tools.
  • Data analysis and evaluation skills with ability to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong knowledge of PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field required; 7+ years’ direct learning and development experience may be substituted for a formal degree.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs for a variety of audiences, including leadership.
  • Certification in instructional design, coaching, or facilitation (e.g., ATD, CPTD, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proven experience managing vendor relationships and external learning partners.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program.
  • Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as programs require. Some travel will be required.
Responsibilities
  • Designs, develops and delivers training programs aligned with the Learning and Development strategy.
  • Facilitates in-person training in a professional manner.
  • Collaborates with leaders across the organization and HR business partners to assess and address training and coaching needs through content development.
  • Evaluates internal and external training programs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Delivers a consistent and engaging hospitality experience for employees and guest facilitators during training sessions, events and communications.
  • Stays current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development, integrating innovative methods into the organization’s learning strategies.
  • Plays a role in building relationships with external partners, vendors and consultants to leverage external expertise and resources when appropriate.
  • Brings a strategic mindset, a passion for learning and a proven ability to deliver impactful training solutions.

IBM unveils AI-powered Masters Vault Search and enhanced Hole Insights for 90th Masters Tournament

IBM and the Masters Tournament have announced new AI-powered digital features for the 90th Masters Tournament, running 9-12 April at Augusta National Golf Club. The enhancements mark the latest development in a 30-year collaboration between the two organisations. Masters Vault Search, powered by IBM's Granite small language models and watsonx Orchestrate, enables fans to explore over 50 years of final round broadcasts through conversational prompts. The system uses optical character recognition, speech-to-text transcription and scene detection to locate specific moments within full-length replays. The enhanced Hole Insights feature now provides real-time, shot-by-shot analysis during the Tournament, calculating historical scoring probabilities based on exact ball position and contextual performance data. The feature was developed with input from legendary caddie Jim 'Bones' Mackay.
