FYZICAL franchise growth Through Proven Marketing strategy. New Physical Therapy Clinic Builds Strong Patient Demand Through Proven Marketing and Exceptional Care Opening a new healthcare practice is often one of the most challenging stages of building a successful business. Generating awareness, earning community trust, and attracting patients can take years without the right strategy in place. For Juan Ferrer Garay, however, the journey unfolded much faster. After opening his FYZICAL physical therapy clinic in Wilson, North Carolina, in 2024, the experienced marketing professional combined decades of branding expertise with FYZICAL's structured Marketing Suite to create impressive early momentum. The outcome was remarkable. The clinic welcomed 222 patient visits during its first month, and within only six months that figure increased to 750 monthly visits, demonstrating how a proven franchise system can accelerate business growth while maintaining a strong focus on patient care. Today, Ferrer Garay credits both the company's marketing resources and his team's commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences for the clinic's rapid success. Looking ahead, he plans to expand his operation to six FYZICAL locations. Marketing became the foundation for growth. Having spent more than 20 years in professional marketing, Ferrer Garay understood that every successful launch requires a clear strategy. When FYZICAL introduced its Marketing Suite during franchise onboarding, he immediately saw an opportunity to simplify the marketing process. The platform provides franchise owners with professionally developed campaigns that can be customized for local markets, helping clinics create awareness before opening while continuing to attract new patients as the business grows. Interested in testing the system, Ferrer Garay volunteered to participate before the official launch. Rather than investing valuable time experimenting with different advertising approaches, he relied on a structured marketing framework that allowed him to reach potential patients quickly and consistently. Choosing FYZICAL for more than business reasons. The decision to invest in the franchise was influenced by both personal experience and market opportunity. For several years, Ferrer Garay and his wife explored franchise ownership opportunities. During that search, they repeatedly encountered FYZICAL while researching vestibular disorders because his father struggles with balance-related conditions. The brand's comprehensive treatment philosophy immediately stood out. Instead of concentrating solely on traditional physical therapy techniques, FYZICAL addresses multiple factors that influence balance, including eyesight, vestibular health, neurological function, and mobility. This specialized approach differentiated the franchise from many conventional therapy providers. Bringing specialized care to smaller communities. Beyond its clinical model, Ferrer Garay identified a significant opportunity to serve patients in smaller cities. Many individuals requiring specialized physical therapy often travel long distances to receive treatment. Establishing a local clinic created easier access to care while addressing an underserved healthcare market. His career aspirations also played an important role. Following years in oncology marketing, Ferrer Garay wanted a profession where he could personally witness the positive difference his work made in people's lives. Owning a physical therapy clinic provided exactly that opportunity. Efficient marketing created faster growth. Launching a business without an established marketing strategy often requires months of testing different campaigns and messaging. FYZICAL's Marketing Suite reduced that learning curve. The franchise's ready-to-use campaigns helped the clinic communicate its services effectively, strengthen local visibility, and attract patients more efficiently than traditional trial-and-error marketing. Key advantages included: * Professionally developed marketing campaigns. * Consistent brand messaging. * Faster market entry. * Reduced advertising experimentation. * Greater focus on delivering patient care. Demand increased almost immediately. Within two weeks of opening, appointment requests became so strong that treatment schedules were shortened from one-hour sessions to 40-minute appointments to accommodate additional patients. The experience reinforced the value of following a proven business system rather than developing every marketing initiative independently. Community recognition reinforced early success. Rapid business growth was accompanied by community recognition. Just four and a half months after opening, the clinic received Best of 2024 Physical Therapy Clinic in Wilson, North Carolina from Business Rate. The recognition reflected the team's dedication to individualized patient care, exceptional service, and creating positive treatment experiences that encouraged referrals and long-term patient relationships. Growing demand creates long-term opportunity. The physical therapy industry continues to experience significant growth driven by demographic and healthcare trends. An aging population, increased demand for rehabilitation following injuries and surgery, chronic pain management, and mobility improvement continue to create strong demand for specialized therapy services. Employment opportunities for physical therapists are projected to grow well above average over the coming decade, while overall demand for rehabilitation services is expected to outpace population growth. For entrepreneurs evaluating healthcare franchise investments, FYZICAL demonstrates how combining specialized clinical services with proven marketing support can help new clinics establish themselves quickly and build a scalable, long-term business.
New physical therapy clinic in Lenexa lets patients fall without falling. Located near 79th and Quivira, FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers is focused on helping people find their balance. A new physical therapy clinic has officially begun helping Johnson Countians keep their balance. FYZICAL is at 7844 Quivira Road. * The clinic occupies a space at the Quivira Square shopping center, just off 79th Street and Quivira Road in Lenexa. * There, it operates near Third Coast Pizza and Sara McGinty's at the shopping center. * FYZICAL is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. FYZICAL specializes in fall prevention. Though FYZICAL does offer some other specialty services (such as pelvic floor therapy), its focus is primarily on one particular thing. "What puts us apart is our special emphasis on balance," said Josh Malena, certified physical therapy assistant at FYZICAL. "We can't help the fact that you may or may not fall, but we can help you fall better." Though fall prevention primarily caters to patients 60 and older, the team at FYZICAL said balance isn't just an issue for older adults. Balance issues can stem from inner ear disorders, sensory problems or vision changes - which can touch a wide variety of ages. When it comes to regaining balance, Malena said, the stakes can be deeply personal. "We've had several patients that come in and say, 'I've gotten to the point where I'm afraid to go outside now because I'm afraid of falling,'" he said. "It's not so much the falling; it's 'I can't get back up and I'm afraid to be embarrassed.'" One of the clinic's most notable features is above patients' heads. Suspended from the clinic's ceiling are metal tracks that crisscross the open gym floor, with harnesses clipped to trolleys above. A patient uses the Solo-Step system by strapping into the harness and walking along foam pads, sometimes bouncing a balloon or carrying weights at the same time. This way, patients can work on their balance without fear of falling. The system can hold up to 350 pounds of "dead weight," so a patient can stumble or even fully collapse and the harness will catch them. That makes a big difference, Malena said. Without the fear of falling, therapists and patients can simulate things that typically intimidate them: stepping off curbs, getting down to the floor and back up, and navigating unstable surfaces. Greg Foster, franchise owner of FYZICAL Lenexa, said eliminating the possibility of falling can help patients gain back their confidence a little bit faster. "It allows the therapist to push the patients a little bit harder, and the output of that is confidence on the patient's part," he said. "Because they're being pushed harder, because they know they're safe, they can work a little bit harder, and they gain confidence a lot more quickly." FYZICAL may expand in Johnson County. The company is headquartered in Florida, and it has roughly 700 clinics across the country - 650 of which are franchises, and 50 are corporate-owned. Currently, the Lenexa clinic is FYZICAL's only one in Johnson County. A clinic previously operated in Prairie Village under different ownership, but that clinic is now unaffiliated with the FYZICAL brand. As an area representative, Foster owns the territorial rights to develop clinics in the Kansas City metro area (either by opening them himself or by selling franchises to other operators). In the future, Foster said he hopes to grow the FYZICAL brand in other parts of Johnson County, such as central Overland Park and northeastern Johnson County. He also hopes to eventually open a clinic in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Ultimately, Foster considers balance and mobility to be quality of life issues. In the FYZICAL brand's first several weeks in Lenexa, he said patients have been grateful to be able to love their lives again. "The thing that we hear over and over again is 'At previous physical therapy clinics I went to, I didn't feel like I was heard, (and) here, I feel like people listen,'" he said. "We're helping people get to a place where they're comfortable again, where they're mobile again, where they're confident again." Want more local business news? Hi!
