Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting, including planning, forecasting, and financial analysis. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to track multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, training materials, and presentations for business and technical audiences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills and the ability to collaborate with people with varying skills and backgrounds at all levels of a complex, decentralized organization.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing, full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Provide tier-one support to more than 200 university credit card merchants, including new merchant setup and onboarding, user administration, and assistance with annual compliance activities.
  • Serve as one of two administrators of the university's TouchNet Marketplace eCommerce platform, including creating new marketplace stores and troubleshooting existing stores.
  • Assist with implementation of TouchNet Marketplace uPay and Marketplace POS systems.
  • Manage collection and tracking of documentation required to ensure that university payment-processing entities, including departments maintaining bespoke applications and current and potential third-party service providers, comply with PCI DSS.
  • Guide campus service units seeking to accept credit cards, emphasizing solutions in the university's existing eCommerce portfolio.
  • Create and maintain team-internal and user-facing documentation and resources for campus credit card operations.
  • Assist with audits of merchant card-handling practices in accordance with PCI DSS requirements, under the direction of the Program Manager for PCI Compliance and Merchant Services.
  • Assist the Director with projects involving revolving eligible payments from state appropriations, initially focusing on Available University Funds.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with software and applications for written communication and cloud-based storage and communication, such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Box.
  • Familiarity with PCI DSS and University of Texas, UT System, and State of Texas regulations regarding credit card collections.
  • PCIP, ISA, or QSA certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of PCI compliance standards, including experience performing PCI compliance assessments, evaluations, and remediation.
  • Previous experience working in a university setting or other public-sector setting.
  • Experience working with vendors and key internal stakeholders, such as the Information Security Office, ITS Networking, and Procurement and Payment Services, at UT Austin or another university.
  • Experience with TouchNet Marketplace or other higher-education-focused eCommerce systems such as Nelnet, CASHNet, or Flywire.
