ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide exceptional customer service by determining each prospective client’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.
Promote new business and contributing to company’s customer base by seeking new customers through prospecting and referral networks.
Selling new and pre-owned vehicles, and demonstrate vehicles (includes test drives).
Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in all products/inventory.
Be thoroughly familiar with all products, including features, specifications, prices, colours, options, and standard equipment. Participate in any and all product training available.
Use closing techniques effectively; ask for help from management with closing when necessary. Be profit-minded when closing.
Deliver new and pre-owned vehicles to customers, and ensure the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork, to help ensure OpenRoad lays the foundation for customer loyalty.
Introduce customers to Service Department personnel to emphasize to customers the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s service operations.
Set goals for each month’s productivity; plan and organize how to reach those objectives.
Follow all dealership processes and procedures to ensure an excellent Customer Satisfaction Index rating on sales, delivery and follow up.
Attend department meetings as required.
Follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately, report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information while maintaining a great deal of professionalism.
The ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Strong computer skills (internet & MS Office), with ability to maintain record using computerized system.
Effective negotiation skills, with ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
A Current VSA MDC License.
A valid British Columbia Driver’s License with a good driving record.

OpenRoad Auto announces 16-acre Surrey automall development. September 4, 2026 OpenRoad Auto is planning a 16-acre automotive development in Surrey's Newton neighbourhood that will include multiple dealerships, commercial space and more than 1,000 vehicle parking stalls. The Surrey Auto Loop, located at 13340 76 Avenue, is being developed in partnership with Conwest Developments and will include seven lots and approximately 166,000 square feet of commercial space. Surrey Honda and Mercedes-Benz Surrey are among the first confirmed dealerships. The project is expected to bring expanded automotive sales and service facilities to the area, as well as new employment and private investment. Construction is expected to begin in early 2027, with additional dealership brands to be announced. "We thank the City of Surrey and our partners at Conwest Developments for making Surrey Auto Loop possible," said Christian Chia, CEO of OpenRoad Auto. "There is no doubt Surrey is B.C.'s fastest-growing city. The Surrey Auto Loop will allow us to serve the Surrey community with even more options, more brands, and more of the people-first service that OpenRoad is known for, all in one convenient destination." The development will include dealership showrooms, offices and service facilities across multiple buildings, along with more than 1,000 vehicle parking stalls. The project follows the completion of a rezoning process led by Conwest that converted an underutilized 16-acre industrial site into a planned automotive development. A City of Surrey planning report endorsing the project said the automall reflects sound planning principles and supports the employment and economic growth objectives outlined in the city's Official Community Plan. "The Surrey Auto Loop is a major investment in Newton and another sign of the growth and opportunity we're seeing across our city," Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke says. "It will create local jobs and bring new economic activity to the area. I want to thank OpenRoad Auto and Conwest Developments for their partnership and confidence, and for choosing Surrey for this project." Conwest says its role in the project extended beyond the sale of the property and included working with OpenRoad and the City of Surrey during the rezoning and approvals process. "When OpenRoad approached us with their vision for Surrey Auto Loop, we immediately recognized the site's potential and the opportunity to create something that would have a meaningful, long-term impact on the City of Surrey," says Ben Taddei, Chief Operating Officer and Partner, Conwest Developments. Expanding its retail network footprint in British Columbia's fastest-growing market, OpenRoad Auto partners with Conwest Developments to build a 166,000-square-foot multi-dealership automall. Automotive dealership group OpenRoad Auto has announced the development of the Surrey Auto Loop, a new 16-acre automall located in Surrey's Newton neighborhood. Developed in partnership with Conwest Developments, the site will feature seven commercial lots encompassing roughly 166,000 square feet of dealership space across showrooms, offices, and service bays, supported by more than 1,000 vehicle parking stalls.
