Requirements
  • Ability to competently manage patient and family of all age groups is required.
  • Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, AMA-approved school of ultrasonography, or comparable work experience in the practice specialty of abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology is required.
  • Proficient with computers/computer systems to include basic navigation and use of email applications is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively is required.
  • Ability to multi-task is required.
  • Ability to deal with difficult or challenging customer interactions and escalate to management as appropriate is required.
  • Ability to obtain American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification within one year of hire or transfer date is required.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform quality diagnostic medical sonograms under supervision to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging information for use in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Effectively coordinate the required resources for diagnostic ultrasound service delivery, problem solves and expedites communication with other health care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes, and demonstrate active involvement in department operations and decision making by modeling effective work group processes and fiscal responsibility.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in neurosonology and vascular ultrasound preferred.
  • Bachelor's of science degree preferred.
  • Formal education in neurosonology and vascular ultrasound preferred.
  • Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification preferred.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification preferred.

Nebraska Medicine's new Omaha health clinic designed by LEO A DALY. Nebraska Medicine has announced its newest facility, a four-story health clinic that has been designed by LEO A DALY. The nearly 100,000 SF midtown Omaha health center will hold the hospital system's dermatology program, as well as outpatient GI, behavioral health services and general internal medicine. The building is scheduled to open in September 2027. Precast concrete and glass curtain walls provide a durable and modern aesthetic, while a sun-shading system of curved, perforated panels adds texture and depth to the west facade while integrating the building with the broader campus infrastructurehttps://www.edgeomaha.com/. Nebraska Medicine opening new primary health center in Bennington. (KMTV) - Nebraska Medicine is preparing to open a new primary health center in Bennington, bringing expanded health care access to the growing corridor near 156th and State. Before the location officially opens, neighbors are invited to get a first look at what it has to offer this Saturday. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., visitors can tour the clinic, meet staff, and enjoy a few fun activities. Nebraska Medicine will celebrate with community leaders in a private ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday afternoon, and the clinic will open to the the public on Monday, March 9. The facility will be open for appointments Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
