Requirements
  • A College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems, Supplier Quality, or a related field is required.
  • Experience maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems is required.
  • Knowledge of stage gate and Advanced Product Quality Planning requirements, including Production Part Approval Process, is required.
  • Experience conducting internal and external audits, Layered Process Audits, and supplier audits is required.
  • Knowledge of corrective and preventive action systems and root cause analysis methodologies, including 8D, A3, 5 Why, and Fishbone, is required.
  • Experience managing Non-Conforming Material Reports, customer complaints, warranty investigations, and corrective actions is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • The candidate must have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated professionalism and diplomacy.
  • The candidate must be able to prepare reports, present findings, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including procedures, work instructions, forms, and quality records.
  • Lead Layered Process Audits, internal audits, and compliance assessments to verify adherence to defined processes and quality requirements.
  • Manage the Non-Conforming Material Report process, including investigation, disposition, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
  • Lead Product Incident Report, product complaint, warranty, and field failure investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support supplier quality management activities, including supplier audits, issue resolution, corrective action follow-up, and ongoing supplier performance monitoring.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving activities using root cause analysis methodologies and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead and monitor corrective and preventive action activities to ensure timely implementation and verification of effectiveness.
  • Act as liaison between Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Sales, and Legal regarding product performance concerns, risk mitigation activities, and litigation support.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve product and process performance.
  • Support product liability, insurance, labour, and litigation-related investigations by providing technical analysis, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor post-launch product performance, complaint trends, warranty data, and field quality issues to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Product Quality Response Team activities and support product risk assessment and resolution efforts.
  • Prepare and present quality reports, audit findings, corrective action status, and continuous improvement updates to management.
  • Support external audits, certification activities, and regulatory compliance requirements as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required to support Masco Canada's quality objectives and business needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification is an asset.
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or Black Belt certification is considered an asset.
  • An automotive and lean manufacturing background is an asset.
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is an asset.

Masco appoints Brad Hiranaga as CMO to drive enterprise growth strategy

Masco Corporation has appointed Brad Hiranaga as chief marketing officer, a newly created role designed to strengthen the company's enterprise growth platform. Hiranaga will report to president and chief executive officer Jon Nudi and join the executive committee. The position consolidates marketing, commercial excellence, digital acceleration and customer capabilities under single leadership. This structure aims to leverage insights, scale best practices and accelerate innovation across Masco's brand portfolio. Hiranaga brings over 25 years of experience in brand growth and business transformation. He joins from Marriott International, where he served as senior vice president, global brand, experience & design. Previously, he spent more than 15 years at General Mills, ultimately serving as chief marketing officer, and later held the chief brand officer position at Cotopaxi.

Masco Q2 earnings beat estimates by 26% despite revenue missing forecasts

Masco reported Q2 revenue of $1.99 billion, down 2.9% year-over-year, missing the consensus estimate by 4.64%. However, earnings per share came in at $1.64, beating the $1.30 estimate by 26.15%. The home improvement manufacturer's plumbing products division generated $1.34 billion in net sales, up 1.9% from last year but below analyst expectations. Decorative architectural products posted $655 million in sales, down 11.3% year-over-year and significantly missing the $710.86 million estimate. Despite the mixed results, operating profit in both divisions exceeded analyst projections. Plumbing products reported $361 million in adjusted operating profit, whilst decorative architectural products posted $148 million. Masco shares have risen 0.3% over the past month.

FM Mattsson acquires Bristan for £49 million.

FM Mattsson acquires Bristan for £49 million. 28 July 2026 FM Mattsson Group has agreed to acquire UK brassware supplier Bristan Group Limited from Masco for £49 million. Bristan Group includes Bristan and Heritage Bathrooms, and has been under Masco ownership since 2002. It supplies installers, specifiers, wholesale channel partners and DIY and online retailers, employs around 280 people and has delivered revenue of £63 million. Bristan will become part of FM Mattsson Group and continue to operate as a brand-led business with its own management team. In 2025, the Nasdaq Stockholm listed FM Mattsson Group generated sales of 2 billion SEK from its companies in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Benelux, UK, Germany and Italy and had 557 employees. The transaction is expected to further diversify FM Mattsson Group's geographical presence and provide opportunities for development of the Group's offering, customer relationships and operational capabilities in the UK market. Bristan joins FM Mattsson Group's existing UK and Ireland business Aqualla which is positioned in retail and consumer-led bathroom products. "The acquisition of Bristan is a major step in line with its strategy to strengthen FM Mattsson Group's international presence through strong brands. "Bristan is established as the no. 1 brassware supplier in the UK and is known for its high level of customer service and broad product offering, particularly for the professional market. Masco appoints Brad Hiranaga as chief marketing officer. by Matt Baker 27 July, 2026 Masco Corporation has appointed Brad Hiranaga as its new chief marketing officer, a newly created role that the company said is designed to support the next phase of its enterprise growth strategy. Effective immediately, Hiranaga joins the home improvement products manufacturer from Marriott International, where he most recently served as senior vice-president of global experience design. Before that, he was chief brand officer at General Mills and held senior marketing positions during more than 20 years with Procter & Gamble. In his new position, Hiranaga will report directly to Masco president and chief executive officer Jon Nudi and will lead the company's enterprise marketing strategy, brand building and consumer engagement initiatives across its portfolio of brands. The move forms part of Masco's wider strategy to strengthen its commercial capabilities and support long-term growth. Commenting on the appointment, Jon Nudi said: "Brad is a transformational marketing leader with an exceptional track record of building iconic brands, deepening consumer engagement and driving business growth. "His experience and strategic vision will help accelerate our enterprise growth strategy and further strengthen the competitive advantage of our leading brands."
