Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of experience with lifts.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the proper operation of chairlifts and personnel by completing preventive maintenance of auxiliary power units, electric motors, and line gear according to manufacturers' maintenance manuals; troubleshoot malfunctions and train personnel in proper operation.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and checking for overheating.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using come-alongs, cranes, heavy equipment, rigging, hand tools, and power tools; examine and diagnose causes of failure and correct the condition.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, and using resources as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Prepare operational and maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and continuity.
  • Contribute to team efforts by participating in job sharing, maintaining resort cleanliness and guest and employee safety, participating in safety meetings, accepting diverse assignments, and maintaining positive and friendly interactions.
  • Meet service-level objectives and department goals established by the immediate supervisor.
