Requirements

A minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or training is required.
Strong generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) skills are required.
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable reporting, present information effectively, and respond effectively to sensitive issues.
Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles is required, including the ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions and conduct advanced financial analysis.
The role requires a thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite are required.
Experience with Yardi accounting software is required.

Responsibilities

Analyze and prepare financial statements between the 1st and 15th of each month.
Record journal entries.
Perform general forecasting and planning.
Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
Perform bank reconciliations and daily cash reporting.
Conduct variance analysis to support the financial statements.
Assist with year-end audits.
Prepare monthly financial statement reporting packages for assigned properties.
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Perform general ledger activities, including posting, applying an understanding of debits and credits and their effect on account balances, and maintaining files and logs.
Adhere to internal accounting policies and procedures.
Collaborate with team members and communicate with diverse populations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will be doing:

Analyze and prepare financial statements between the 1st and 15th of each month.
