About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of successful pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales experience is required.
- A proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets is required.
- Experience calling on Medical Oncologists, Hematologists, and/or oncology practices is required.
- Experience launching new products or promoting products in competitive markets is required.
- The candidate must be able to understand, retain, and communicate complex clinical, efficacy, and safety data.
- A strong grasp of oncology and hematology disease states and treatment paradigms is required.
- The candidate must be capable of engaging in scientific discussions with highly trained medical professionals.
- Experience in strategic territory planning and business plan development is required.
- Strong analytical skills to assess territory opportunities and track performance metrics are required.
- A thorough understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations, including FDA, PhRMA Code, and OIG guidelines, is required.
- The candidate must be committed to ethical selling practices and promoting products within approved indications.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills are required.
- The candidate must be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing.
- Educate appropriate Health Care Providers on the on-label use of Copiktra in a fair and balanced manner, delivering clinical, efficacy, and safety messaging using company-approved promotional materials to target physicians.
- Develop and execute comprehensive territory business plans aligned with corporate strategic objectives, driving achievement of sales targets and key performance metrics.
- Conduct monthly business reviews to analyze progress, identify opportunities and risks, and implement data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
- Achieve on-label sales growth consistent with the business plan and in compliance with company policies.
- Monitor operating costs and manage the territory budget.
- Identify key practice decision-makers and conduct promotional presentations, informational in-services, and educational programs for targeted customers.
- Support commercial presence at appropriate key medical congresses in the territory.
- Engage with Medical Science Liaisons and/or another designated Medical Affairs contact to ensure appropriate follow-up on customer questions.
- Comply with company policies and applicable laws.
- Travel overnight within the territory and to conferences, training, and sales meetings as required.
- An advanced degree such as an MBA, MS, PharmD, or a related discipline is preferred.
