Responsibilities
Lead Engineering Managers across several teams, helping them set priorities, support their people, and deliver software.
Work closely with Product and Design leaders to decide what to build, discuss trade-offs, and balance customer needs, delivery commitments, and system health.
Coach engineering leaders through difficult decisions.
Work with Principal Engineers to address reliability risks, remove blockers between teams, and ensure technical debt is included in planning.
Use delivery and team insights to identify issues early while giving teams room to decide how they work.
Lead engineering across a product portfolio and partner with the Head of Product to turn strategy into sustainable software for customers.
Help engineering leaders grow, strengthen delivery, and build an inclusive culture where people can speak up and take ownership.
Support leaders with clear direction, useful feedback, and opportunities to grow.
Build a shared view of priorities, progress, and delivery risks among teams and Product leaders.
Ensure technical debt and system health are considered alongside new product work.
Help teams make practical improvements to delivery, reliability, and ways of working.

A day in the life
You’ll lead Engineering Managers across several teams, helping them set priorities, support their people and deliver software they’re proud of. You’ll work closely with Product and Design leaders to decide what to build, talk through trade-offs and keep customer needs, delivery commitments and system health in view.
Some days you’ll coach a leader through a difficult decision. Others, you’ll work with Principal Engineers to address a reliability risk, remove a blocker between teams or make sure technical debt has a place in the plan. You’ll use delivery and team insights to spot issues early, while giving teams room to decide how they do their best work.
About the role
