Your Job:
As the Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A you will play a key role in company growth by proactively partnering with business leaders to build business cases and evaluate investment opportunities, conduct cost/benefit analyses, and plan for the company’s future. You will support the quarterly forecasting and monthly reporting & analysis processes for Brooks Sports, delivering key takeaways and providing financial insights on key strategic decisions. This position will also be responsible for leading special projects, typically involving financial analysis and research of business issues to provide leadership with financial data and act as a thought partner to support resource allocation decisions and drive corporate growth and profitability.
Your Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders from high impact functional areas to develop the quarterly rolling forecast for revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses, and in doing so identify, evaluate, and propose ideas and actions to drive growth and profitability improvements.
- Partner closely with assigned functional groups to ensure efficient execution against forecast commitments.
- Prepare and present monthly analysis to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear, visual manner which identifies key performance drivers to drive consensus and meaningful action.
- Distill complex scenarios into clear financial analysis and valuation models to support strategic investment decisions regarding activities such as new product development, supply chain evolution, and technology solutions.
- Design, maintain, and develop processes and automated forecasting and reporting systems, leveraging the Workday Adaptive Planning platform.
- Lead key forecasting processes such as compensation, capital expense, or cash flow, and serve as the voice of FP&A in cross-functional projects and processes.
- Be a key player in planning and execution of operational cost analysis to enhance profitability and improve process efficiency.
- Perform complex analyses and lead special projects as required by leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Prepare sensitive and confidential analysis and manage sensitivity of information accordingly.
- Work with Director, FP&A on critical initiatives to improve standard reporting, forecasting accuracy, data visualization, analytics, and insights provided to business leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field: CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or related functions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture. Able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable strategic recommendations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business strategy or initiatives into financial models and/or in-depth analysis
- Strong proficiency in Excel; Workday Adaptive Planning experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
- Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.”
- Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary.
- Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.

Compensation: The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $90,128 - $135,193 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
