Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate Registered Nurse licensure is required.
  • Ability to obtain Basic Life Support qualification during the orientation period and maintain it during employment.
  • Ability to work day/night rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours weekly, with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex using the nursing process.
  • Create a therapeutic and caring environment for patients and families.
  • Involve patients and families in goal setting and care planning, and communicate the plan of care to patients, families, and colleagues across shifts and settings.
  • Maintain accountability for continued professional growth and development and for the smooth operation of the unit.
  • Recognize and manage rapidly changing situations.
  • Use current evidence and relevant national and specialty standards to guide practice and identify areas for improvement.
  • Demonstrate competent clinical practice using clinical decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
  • Float to other areas as needed.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support qualification.
