Special K Ranch receives $10,000 grant from Bank of Bridger. * Kay Hotchkiss Special K Ranch * May 28, 2026 Special K Ranch has received a $10,000 grant through a partnership between Bank of Bridger and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, with the funds delivered in a May 12 presentation at the ranch. Bank of Bridger's K.C. Hickok and board member Dan Patterson made the trip to Special K Ranch to present the oversized check in person. Both men also serve on the Special K Ranch [foundation] board. The funding came through the Member Impact Fund, a matching grant program through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines designed to amplify local community investment. "We cannot carry out our mission without these thoughtful businesses who care about our residents as much as we do," said a ranch spokesperson. Special K Ranch, based in Columbus, provides residential and vocational services for adults with developmental disabilities.
