About the Role:
The Locksmith is responsible for maintaining the College's standards. Your job duties will include installing, repairing, adjusting, and replacing locks and other door closures around various buildings and facilities; making duplicate keys when required; and managing the supply of keys for all staff, faculty, and contractors. Documenting when you issue keys and noting when they are returned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working on ladders, lifting over 50lbs repetitively, twisting, bending, and working in varying environmental conditions.
- Competence in following both oral and written instructions.
- Proficient in the use of a variety of hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an academic or state organization.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience. ie Excel, Word, Outlook
- .Our ideal candidate has completed an accredited locksmith program and is proficient in the techniques of the trade.
- Experience in Keystone and or SimpleK key systems.
- Knowledge OSHA safety standards.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license and insurance coverage as required by the College's insurance carrier.
