About the Company

Chumash Casino Resort

Native American casino resort and hotel

Chumash Casino Resort, owned by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, operates a tribal hospitality and entertainment destination with a 24/7 casino, a hotel and spa, multiple dining options, and live entertainment. Its gaming floor features about 2,300 slot and video machines, over 45 table games, a poker room, and bingo, complemented by a 320-room AAA Four Diamond-rated hotel and a full-service spa. Revenue comes from gambling, lodging, dining, spa services, and events, using a pricing strategy that mixes free rooms for high-value players with variable room rates to boost profitability and guest loyalty. The company differentiates itself as a sovereign tribal enterprise with a large on-reservation destination aimed at Southern California and nearby markets, with the goal of becoming a major economic engine for the tribe by growing overnight stays, profitability, and local employment while supporting tribal sovereignty.
