Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance industry.
  • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of the hire date.
  • Personal transportation and the ability to travel within the assigned territory and outside the assigned area to assist with workloads, participate on the CAT team, and provide remote assistance for Crop Claims Care Center calls and CCP claims.
  • Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Complete field inspections and related activities, including reading maps and aerial photographs, measuring fields and storage bins, and discussing crop-loss findings with farmers on complex, non-routine, problematic, and controversial claims.
  • Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry personnel regarding claim situations.
  • Gather facts regarding crop damage, record information, and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities.
  • Gather relevant facts, apply applicable law, and establish basic principles of negligence.
  • Complete claim reviews and audits of lower-level adjusters as assigned.
  • Ensure legal compliance by maintaining strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team objectives by completing related results and participating in projects as needed.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Zurich launches LifeVault platform. Organising wills and documents. Provider, Zurich, has launched a digital platform, LifeVault, for customers to organise wills, important documents, personal wishes and memories in one place. Zurich said the platform is designed to extend support beyond the traditional life insurance pay out. According to the provider's survey of 2,000 UK adults, managing probate or estate administration falls to 42% of people facing the death of a loved one. The provider found that 60% of people responsible for probate found it difficult, which increased to 83% of millennials. While 79% of adults had worries about how their loved ones will cope after they pass, Zurich said 48% of the adult population (48%) have a valid will.
