Requirements
  • Completed vocational training as a train driver.
  • Valid train-driver license TfV class A+B1 or VDV 753 class 3.
  • Very good German language skills at least at B2 level.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Willingness to stay overnight for assignments in other cities.
Responsibilities
  • Independently operate passenger train journeys in compliance with regulations and safety requirements.
  • Drive trains on the nationwide FlixTrain network; the posting mentions departures from Frankfurt and Berlin.
  • Communicate reliably with the control center, colleagues, and passengers.
  • Ensure safe, punctual, and economical train operations.
  • Perform preparatory and concluding activities to ensure operational readiness.
  • Work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, according to flexible duty schedules.
  • Contribute to positive and professional passenger communication.
Desired Qualifications
  • Several years of railway operations experience, preferably in passenger transport.
  • Experience operating locomotive-hauled passenger trains, ideally BR 193 or BR 182; additional training may be provided.
  • LZB and ETCS examination certificates; additional training may be provided.
  • Knowledge of routes in the driver's region.
  • Strong safety and responsibility awareness, service orientation, and ability to work in a team.
  • Motivation to contribute to sustainable mobility.
