Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join our Contamination Assessment and Remediation (CAR) team in Vancouver, BC. This role will lead multidisciplinary environmental projects, applying engineering solutions across waste treatment, site remediation, and pollution control to prevent, manage, and remediate environmental risks. The successful candidate will also build strong client relationships and support sustainable regional growth.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Contaminated Sites Leadership & Delivery
- Provide technical and strategic leadership across complex contaminated site portfolios (Phase I/II ESAs, RAPs, risk assessment, remediation design, and long-term management), ensuring regulatory-compliant closure
- Act as accountable technical authority, leading or enabling multidisciplinary teams to deliver defensible, cost-effective, and innovative risk-based solutions aligned with provincial and federal frameworks
Project & Portfolio Management
- Lead portfolios of provincially and federally regulated projects from proposal through execution and close-out, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality performance
- Partner with the Business Group Leader on business planning, resourcing, workload forecasting, and revenue performance (DCC/federal procurement experience is an asset)
Technical Excellence & Advisory
- Champion technical quality, continuous improvement, and innovative remediation approaches aligned with evolving regulations and best practices
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders
Client & Market Leadership
- Build and grow key client relationships across federal, industrial, and public sectors, driving client satisfaction, repeat business, and strategic growth
- Represent the organization in industry forums, professional associations, and regulatory engagements
People Leadership & Development
- Mentor, supervise, and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering career progression, knowledge sharing, and succession planning
- Build inclusive, high-performing teams with clear expectations and strong technical discipline
Health, Safety, Quality, Environment & Culture
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSQE standards, proactively addressing performance trends and non-compliance
- Drive a collaborative, innovative culture that enhances technical outcomes, client experience, and operational efficiency
What you will bring to the team:
· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline; professional registration in BC (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag.)
· 10+ years’ experience leading contaminated sites assessment and remediation projects, with senior technical accountability
· Proven track record managing complex projects/portfolios and maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted advisor
· In-depth knowledge of BC and federal contaminated sites regulations, guidance, and approval processes
· Strong leadership capability, including mentoring, supervising, and developing multidisciplinary teams
· Advanced proposal development, technical reporting, and writing skills with a client-focused, commercial mindset
· Ability to balance technical excellence with delivery efficiency and business awareness
· Highly organized, self-directed leader with strong decision-making and time management skills
· Confident communicator able to engage effectively with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders
· Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement
· Valid driver’s license with ability to support field and client activities as required
Salary range: $110,220 - $183,700 based on experience.
