- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in design engineering in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.

- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks 3D, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint is required.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards is required.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and Enterprise Resource Planning systems, such as Infor or SAP, is required.
- The ability to simplify complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations is required.
- Team-oriented leadership skills and a proactive approach are required.
- The ability to communicate openly and authentically in all situations is required.
- Design simple to complex package systems, including pumps, fittings, piping, valves, and control systems.
- Perform engineering calculations with minimal supervision.
- Apply design-for-assembly principles and cost considerations throughout the design process.
- Create mechanical models and computer-aided design drawings for new products and maintain existing product designs.
- Prepare detailed, production-quality computer-aided design drawings and review them for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform thermal analysis using finite element analysis and/or computational fluid dynamics analysis to optimize package-system performance.
- Apply appropriate Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing within component drawings based on the assembly and controlling key design aspects.
- Perform tolerance stack-ups for subassemblies and assemblies.
- Contribute to Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and other product-related analyses.
- Participate in and lead detailed design reviews for new components and product launches.
- Work closely with cross-functional product, quality, and manufacturing teams to address design challenges and resolve issues.
- Lead technical discussions among the value stream and community.
- Collaborate with suppliers and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary product certifications.
- Engage with sales and customer service teams to understand and address customer-driven needs.
- Maintain bills of materials and drawings in the Product Lifecycle Management system.
- Provide input on process improvements, including opportunities to enhance documentation practices and design efficiency.
- Liaise with testing and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary certifications.
- Develop and adhere to internal and global design standards.
- Knowledge or experience with centrifugal pump design and manufacturing.
- Experience designing pumping packages.
- Experience designing electromechanical systems and controls.
- Familiarity with scripting, such as Python, SolidWorks application programming interfaces, macros, and other design or development automation techniques.
