- A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- At least 1 year of construction engineering experience is required.
- Beginner knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, and project-applicable standards is required.
- Ability to assume responsibility and interface and communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Meet daily with project crews to review the production schedule and confirm that all materials, equipment, and resources are available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
- Collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data throughout the project to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.
- Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling, identifying production, materials, equipment, or process risks that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
- Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to track project performance accurately, and document daily activities using company-approved methods and technologies.
- Submit accurate project quantity input and controls using assigned project cost coding, and manage cost coding with company finance and accounting teams for employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
- Review and approve daily timecards for company construction crews, and work with the Office Manager, payroll, and job construction supervisors to resolve timecard inquiries as needed.
- Review project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during project work, and after work is complete.
- Initiate and manage appropriate certificates, inspections, and other documentation for construction production at the project site.
- Work with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout, ensuring utilities and commercial lines are marked before production begins.
- Initiate and manage permits needed before work can begin.
- Assist with developing design drawings and provide technical input as needed.
- Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as needed.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management.
