Requirements
- Six to seven years of experience in MicroStrategy with hands-on development and maintenance leading a MicroStrategy development team.
- Hands-on development/maintenance experience in MicroStrategy 9.3, knowledge/experience on enterprise portal integration, mobile integration, write back to source data based on analysis by business users, alerts via mail, mobile based on pre-defined events.
- Good conceptual knowledge and working experience on metadata creation, creating report specifications, integration test planning and testing, unit test planning and testing, UAT and implementation support.
- Strong knowledge of quality processes including Software Development Life Cycle, reviews, testing, Configuration Management, Release Management, and Defect Prevention.
- Good communication skills and comfort in interacting directly with clients.
- Ability to interpret data models and use data modeling tools such as ERWIN.
- Knowledge of new features of the MicroStrategy product and performance tuning.
- Strong data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements, elicit technical requirements, prepare report specifications.
- Develop reports, cubes, dashboards, and scorecards.
- Design and develop MicroStrategy reports and integration with enterprise portals, mobile integration, write back to source data based on analysis by the business users, and set up alerts via email and mobile based on predefined events.
- Maintain working knowledge of some relational database management systems.
- Identify and design common functionality.
- Perform unit and integration testing of the developed components.
- Promote components across development, testing and production environments.
- Provide user acceptance testing support and implementation support.
