Six to seven years of experience in MicroStrategy.
Hands-on development and maintenance experience in MicroStrategy 9.3.
Knowledge or experience with enterprise portal integration, mobile integration, writing back to source data based on business-user analysis, and alerts via email or mobile based on predefined events.
Conceptual knowledge and working experience with metadata creation and report specifications.
Experience with integration-test planning and testing, unit-test planning and testing, user-acceptance testing, and implementation support.
Strong knowledge of quality processes, including software development lifecycle, reviews, testing, configuration management, release management, and defect prevention.
Ability to interact directly with clients.
Ability to interpret data models and use data-modeling tools such as ERwin.
Knowledge of new product features and performance tuning.
Strong data-warehouse concepts and analysis skills.
Responsibilities
Gather business requirements and elicit technical requirements.
Prepare report specifications.
Develop reports, cubes, dashboards, and scorecards.
Design and develop MicroStrategy reports and integrate them with enterprise portals and mobile platforms.
Write back to source data based on analysis by business users and configure alerts via email and mobile based on predefined events.
Identify and design common functionality.
Unit-test and integration-test developed components.
Promote components across development, test, and production environments.
Provide user-acceptance-testing and implementation support.
