What believers are saying

  • Small caseloads are explicit: MedCare's Pasadena/Baytown behavior analyst role advertises six clients per analyst.
  • Fellows receive career support: the Jersey Village speech role includes mentorship, continuing education access and recertification reimbursement.
  • Unsocial hours earn extra: MedCare's Katy registered nurse role advertises night and weekend shift differentials.

What critics are saying

  • Clinic careers are geographically concentrated: MedCare's official directory lists Stafford and Houston sites.
  • Nursing schedules require long blocks: MedCare's Katy role lists 8-12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Behavior analyst leadership adds overhead: the Pasadena/Baytown role requires technician supervision, caregiver training and compliance documentation.

What makes MedCare Pediatric unique

  • Complex care is central: MedCare nurses manage ventilators, tracheostomies and feeding tubes in patient homes.
  • Autism treatment targets younger children: MedCare accepts ages 2-10 in its behavior therapy program.
  • Student exposure spans disciplines: MedCare's observation program covers rehabilitation, nursing and behavior analysis in a pediatric clinic.
