Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 5 years of land surveying experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, is required.
  • Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, survey notes, and construction drawings is required.
  • Leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills are required.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various outdoor conditions is required.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and conduct fieldwork for boundary, topographic, ALTA, as-built, and construction layout surveys.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor field crew members.
  • Operate and maintain Trimble GPS and robotic total station equipment.
  • Ensure accuracy in data collection, field notes, and measurements.
  • Interpret and execute survey instructions from project managers and engineers.
  • Coordinate field activities and communicate project needs with the office team.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures on-site.
  • Assist with process improvements and implement new survey technologies.
  • Represent CAGE professionally on job sites and with clients.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Surveying or a related field.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey software.
  • Experience with on-the-job training and career development is available.
