Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
  • All employees must be vaccinated or have laboratory-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella, and must receive a flu vaccine during flu season in the year of hire and annually thereafter, or have an approved medical or religious exemption.
Responsibilities
  • Support and assist the lead teacher in all aspects of classroom management and the daily schedule.
  • Plan and execute daily classroom and outdoor activities for the assigned group.
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans, post one copy in the classroom for parents, and submit one copy to the Coordinator.
  • Supervise meal times, toileting procedures, and indoor and outdoor activities for children in the classroom.
  • Attend all staff meetings, parent conferences as needed, and ongoing training.
  • Clean and organize the center as needed.
  • Ensure the health, welfare, and safety of children in the assigned group.
  • Respond to the needs, questions, and concerns of parents and children effectively and in a timely manner.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the child development field.
  • An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
