- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience in accounting professional practices and procedures is required.
- Computer literacy and proficiency are required.
- Experience with automated accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics, MIP, spreadsheets, word processing, and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and make arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately.

- Excellent writing skills with the ability to present high-level data and information to senior-level staff and external stakeholders.
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative.

- The role requires walking, standing, using hands to handle objects, occasional sitting, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- The role requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, along with the ability to adjust focus.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and assigned analyses.
- Work with the Finance/Revenue Cycle Manager to ensure accurate general ledger and grant reporting.
- Support the finance team with subsidiary ledger grant accounting and general ledger accounting.
- Ensure appropriate coding and supporting documentation for federal, state, local, and private grants.
- Review grant-related invoices and verify appropriate general ledger grant codes before recording invoices in the accounting system.
- Maintain copies of invoices and supporting expenditure documentation for grants.
- Adhere to grant agreements and provisions.
- Guide program managers and hold periodic meetings to ensure proper expensing of budget line items for grants.
- Work with grant project officers on grant revisions and budget modifications.
- Access EHB and other portals for grant payments and periodic reporting.
- Prepare grant reports during month-end close and keep supporting documentation accessible for all grants.
- Prepare process documentation for grants and assigned tasks.
- Assist with cash forecasting and revenue-maximization models.
- Assist with grant audits, the general year-end audit, and the 401(k) audit.
- Help maintain consistency and standardization in the Finance Department.
- Participate in cross-functional training within the department.
- Perform tasks and projects assigned by the Finance/Revenue Cycle Manager and Chief Financial Officer.
- Manage multiple deadlines and project goals.
- Implement and maintain accounting procedures compliant with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor and work on special projects as needed.
- Experience in a public health care or community clinic setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of fiscal administration as applied to health care operations is preferred.
