Ensemble and Grady Health System announce strategic Revenue Cycle partnership.

Ensemble and Grady Health System announce strategic Revenue Cycle partnership. CINCINNATI, Ohio + ATLANTA, Georgia, Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Ensemble, the nation's leading end-to-end revenue cycle partner for healthcare organizations, today announced a strategic partnership with Grady Health System to strengthen revenue cycle performance and support Grady's mission of providing high-quality care to the Atlanta community. Healthcare organizations face growing financial pressure, workforce challenges, and administrative complexity. For Grady, a strong revenue cycle is central to sustaining access to care, supporting caregivers and keeping resources available to meet community needs. Ensemble will manage its revenue cycle across hospital and physician services as one coordinated operation, from scheduling and registration through coding, billing, and final payment. Grady will retain oversight of its revenue cycle strategy and patient financial policies, while Ensemble will be accountable for day-to-day operations and results. The work will be supported by EIQ(R), Ensemble's proprietary intelligence engine, which brings together data, AI, automation, revenue cycle expertise and real-world execution to continually improve performance. Built on years of operating the revenue cycle end-to-end, EIQ helps teams identify risk earlier, focus their expertise, improve decisions, and turn intelligence into action. "Grady Health System plays an essential role in delivering care across Atlanta, and we're honored to support that mission," said Judson Ivy, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ensemble. "Our associates become an extension of the organizations we serve, working alongside client teams every day to reduce complexity and improve performance. When providers have the resources they need, patients benefit through stronger access to care, better experiences and more sustainable services." "As healthcare continues to evolve, we must find ways to operate more efficiently, strengthen our financial performance and ensure we have the resources to meet the needs of our patients and communities," said Billy Wright, Chief Financial Officer at Grady. "Our partnership with Ensemble brings additional expertise, proven best practices and a collaborative approach to revenue cycle management. Together, we can improve performance, strengthen our financial foundation and ensure Grady is well positioned to continue investing in our people, our patients and the care we provide." Ensemble has been named Best in KLAS for End-to-End Revenue Cycle Outsourcing six times, most recently in 2026, and its clients have earned multiple HFMA MAP Awards for revenue cycle excellence. About Ensemble Ensemble manages end-to-end revenue cycle operations for 36 health systems, more than 300 hospitals and healthcare facilities, representing more than $55 billion in net patient revenue. Its associates manage the revenue cycle as one connected system from patient access through final payment, supported by EIQ(R), Ensemble's proprietary intelligence engine, which works within existing EHR investments. Built on more than 2 petabytes of harmonized data, 6.4 billion behavioral records and 12 technology patents, Ensemble helps providers strengthen the financial performance that supports access, quality and patient care. About Grady Health System Grady Health System is one of the largest safety-net health systems in the United States. Anchored by the 953-bed Grady Memorial Hospital, Grady is Atlanta's only Level I trauma center and serves as the city's 911 ambulance provider. The system includes Correll Pavilion, Grady South Emergency Department, ten neighborhood health centers, Crestview Health & Rehabilitation Center, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding, which is operated as a Children's affiliate. Grady is home to the Walter L. Ingram Burn Center - one of only two burn centers in Georgia verified by the American Burn Association - and the Marcus Stroke and Neuroscience Center, a Joint Commission-designated Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center. Other key services include Georgia's first Cancer Center for Excellence, the Avon Comprehensive Breast Center, the Georgia Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center, and the Ponce de Leon Center - one of the nation's leading HIV/AIDS outpatient clinics. Grady also offers a Regional Perinatal Center with a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and is recognized by Baby-Friendly USA as a Baby-Friendly designated birth facility. For Ensemble Sarah Joyce [email protected] (626) 379-9829 For Grady Health Danielle Hackett [email protected] (912) 996-1193 What is the goal of the Ensemble + Grady Health System partnership? The goal of this partnership is to strengthen the financial foundation behind Grady's mission of providing high-quality care to the Atlanta community. A strong revenue cycle helps Grady Health System's sustain access to care, support caregivers and direct resources where the community needs them. What does the partnership include? Ensemble will manage Grady's hospital and physician revenue cycle, from scheduling and registration through coding, billing and final payment. Ensemble's work will be supported by EIQ(R), its proprietary intelligence engine. Who oversees the revenue cycle? Grady retains oversight of its revenue cycle strategy and patient financial policies. Ensemble is accountable for day-to-day revenue cycle operations and results. How does the partnership benefit patients? Ensemble's work centers on the financial side of the patient experience, from scheduling and registration through billing. The aim is a clearer, more consistent experience for patients and a stronger financial foundation that helps Grady sustain access to care. Why an end-to-end revenue cycle partner? As financial and administrative demands grow, gaps between separate functions become harder to manage. One partner across the full revenue cycle gives Grady leaders clearer visibility and a single point of accountability to achieve and sustain optimal revenue cycle performance. Why Ensemble? Ensemble brings a demonstrated track record of helping healthcare organizations achieve and sustain revenue cycle performance goals, including an average 3% lift in net revenue within the first year. Its high-quality, collaborative client experience is reflected in KLAS feedback: 100% of surveyed clients said they would partner with Ensemble again, earning the highest score in the 2026 Best in KLAS report for End-to-End Revenue Cycle Outsourcing. Ensemble's scale - managing more than $55 billion in net patient revenue - provides the expertise, operational resources and technology needed to manage complex revenue cycles consistently.

Ensemble and Penelope Health announce strategic partnership.

Ensemble and Penelope Health announce strategic partnership. Brings real-time payer clinical policy transparency to the revenue cycle. CINCINNATI, OH + New York, Sept. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Ensemble, the nation's leading end-to-end revenue cycle partner for healthcare organizations, today announced at its Healthcare Leadership Exchange, a gathering of clients and top healthcare industry leaders, a strategic partnership with Penelope Health ("Penelope"), a real-time healthcare policy intelligence platform. Together, the companies will make policy transparent and accessible at the point of care. Through the partnership, Ensemble will integrate Penelope's structured, continuously updated view of policy into its unmatched intelligence engine, and Penelope will draw on Ensemble's operating scale and revenue cycle expertise to accelerate development of its platform for health systems nationwide. Payer clinical policies have always existed, but they live in a different place for every payer, in different formats, and are applied differently by line of business. Providers want to follow the guidelines, yet finding and interpreting them is cumbersome, and today much of that work happens manually, inconsistently and late, after a claim has already been denied. Penelope's platform converts those disparate sources into a single structured reference, with access to policies covering more than 200 million Americans and spanning more than 15,000 procedure and drug codes. Ensemble manages end-to-end revenue cycle operations for health systems nationwide, including more than 200 hospitals, spanning patient access, coding, claims management, denial prevention, accounts receivable follow-up and the patient financial experience. Denial prevention, prior authorization and appeals are where clinical policy meets Ensemble's daily work, and the partnership is designed to move more policy and coverage nuances upstream, so that requirements are understood before care is delivered rather than after a claim is denied. "Providers want to follow payer guidelines, but transparency and access to those guidelines have never been part of the system," said Judson Ivy, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ensemble. "Penelope has built out a critical layer, a dependable, real-time view of clinical policy that will be additive to our proprietary end-to-end intelligence layer. Embedding that intelligence into the work our teams do every day means fewer denials, faster authorizations and stronger appeals for the health systems we serve, and more time returned to clinicians and patients." "Ensemble operates at a scale, and with a depth of claims data and denial expertise, that makes them a natural partner," said Dr. Sohum Patel, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Penelope Health. Mattijs De Paepe, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Penelope Health, added, "working alongside Ensemble's platform and data teams lets us sharpen our build for the realities of the revenue cycle, by expanding the feedback loop between realized payer behavior and the rules codified in policies. This partnership accelerates our mission to turn the rules that govern coverage into infrastructure the whole system relies on." About Ensemble Ensemble manages end-to-end revenue cycle operations for health systems nationwide. Through a combination of certified revenue cycle operators, data-rich intelligence and advanced AI, Ensemble helps healthcare organizations sustain best-practice revenue cycle operations and maximize their current technology so providers can focus on delivering exceptional care in their communities. For more information, visit EnsembleHP.com. About Penelope Health Penelope Health tracks the coverage rules U.S. health insurers publish and turns them into structured data that providers and payers can use directly, through an API and through endpoints that AI assistants can query. Penelope gives both sides instant access to the rules governing coverage for the majority of insured Americans, removing administrative burden from both sides of the provider-payer ledger. For more information, visit https://penelope.health/. About Thoreau Thoreau is a technology platform that creates, invests in, and acquires platforms across provider, payer, employer, life sciences, and government markets. Focused on building healthcare's core compute, rules, and research infrastructure, Thoreau's initial platform partnerships include Ensemble Health, which manages over $55 billion in net patient revenue, and Penelope Health, which is the real-time policy intelligence platform with access to policies covering more than 200 million Americans. Thoreau's mission is to simplify the administration of healthcare, and improve and extend the lives of patients in the U.S. and globally. For Ensemble: Sarah Joyce [email protected] (626) 379-9829 For Penelope Health: Penelope Health [email protected] For Thoreau: Jonathan Gasthalter/Nathaniel Garnick Gasthalter & Co. [email protected] How does this partnership enhance Ensemble's intelligence engine? The partnership adds Penelope's comprehensive, continuously updated payer policy intelligence as a supplemental rules layer within Ensemble's broader intelligence engine. This means Ensemble can bring more timely clinical policy, coverage criteria and reimbursement guidance into the operations where revenue cycle teams make decisions every day. What makes Penelope's policy intelligence different? Penelope focuses specifically on mining, organizing and structuring published payer policies, clinical criteria, regulatory guidance and provider manuals. Because that is its core focus, Penelope can help Ensemble access a more comprehensive national policy set and reflect payer updates more quickly through an API-based connection. How does this create value for Ensemble clients? Clients have stronger support for understanding how payer policy changes may affect authorizations, utilization review, appeals and claims resolution. By identifying relevant policy requirements earlier, Ensemble can help clients anticipate impact, adapt operations when needed and make faster, more informed decisions. What changes for Ensemble associates using the platform? For many users, the experience feels like an enhancement to the intelligence already embedded in their operations. When a case involves a specific payer, code, service or coverage requirement, the platform can surface the relevant policy intelligence so teams do not have to manually search across payer sites or interpret disconnected sources. How does this help Ensemble respond to payer policy changes? Payer policies often include an effective date, which creates an opportunity to assess potential impact before a change takes effect. With faster access to structured policy updates, Ensemble can analyze which clients, codes or systems may be affected, prepare operational responses and engage payers with clearer information when appropriate. How does this sharpen Ensemble's broader intelligence strategy? Penelope will help structure the published policy information payers make available, while Ensemble can continue to focus its expertise on payer behavior, claims data, operational patterns and unpublished rules that emerge in real-world adjudication. Together, that combination gives clients a more complete view of what payers say, what payers do and how to act on it.
