Requirements
  • Exhibit a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for evangelism and outreach personally and at the ministry level.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate mature Christian character and a passion for mission and youth.
  • Have 1–2 years of progressive youth ministry leadership experience.
  • Possess well-developed relational and interpersonal skills.
  • Function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment and balance multiple tasks.
  • Function effectively without supervision.
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Possess basic administrative skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Work with varied ethnic and socioeconomic populations.
  • Work evenings and weekends.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Possess a valid Pennsylvania State Driver’s License and the ability to operate required fleet vehicles.
  • Meet Child Protection Clearances required by Pennsylvania Act 153, including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Record Check.
  • Have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission Statements of The Salvation Army and the RJKCCC.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as an evangelist to the community and lead in developing pathways to community ministry and discipleship opportunities for adults and youth, providing spiritual guidance.
  • Plan, coordinate, administer, monitor, evaluate, and grow the day-to-day operations of Kroc programming in areas including Women’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Corps Cadets, Junior Soldiers, Sunday School, Character Building, selected special events, community outreach, community devotions, and ministry visitation.
  • Evangelize through the proclamation of Jesus Christ as Redeemer, with the intent of impacting the lives of men and women through spiritual regeneration.
  • Promote membership in the body of Christ.
  • Assist and partner with the Corps.
Desired Qualifications
  • Uniformed Salvationist experience or status is preferred.
