Requirements
  • Admission to practice in New Jersey is required; admission to New York is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of litigation and/or professional liability defense experience is required.
  • Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment is required.
  • Strong organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Handle all phases of professional liability defense litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Conduct legal research, assist with litigation strategy, and perform case analysis.
  • Manage discovery; prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, and hearings; and prepare for trial.
  • Communicate directly with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and witnesses while providing regular case updates and strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex litigation matters.
  • Provide proactive case management and client reporting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in professional liability defense litigation.
  • Experience with Errors & Omissions claims.
  • Experience in legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, insurance broker liability, or other professional liability matters.
  • Experience handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Experience working with insurers and insured professionals.
