About the job

Requirements
  • Strong experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, including routing, rendering, and data-fetching patterns.
  • Good component design and state management, with attention to accessibility.
  • Confidence working in an existing Laravel codebase, including Eloquent, migrations, repositories, API resources, and feature tests with PHPUnit or Pest.
  • Understanding of data modelling sufficient to identify changes that could break existing records.
  • Daily use of Claude Code or a similar AI coding tool, with the ability to brief it effectively and identify issues such as shared state, validation, security boundaries, and incorrect fixes.
  • Ability to consider product behavior and edge cases before implementation, take ownership of an entire feature, and communicate clearly in pull requests, tickets, and questions to product.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship, hold a valid visa or UK residency, be currently based in the UK, and be prepared to undergo high-level security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Build features end to end across the Next.js admin hub, attendee websites, and Laravel API.
  • Turn prototypes and specifications into production-quality code, identifying gaps and edge cases before implementation.
  • Use AI coding agents as a core part of the workflow, including running work in parallel where appropriate.
  • Critically review agent-written code, especially around permissions, shared state, and data crossing client boundaries.
  • Write and maintain tests, and use the automated test suite and seeded test events to check work.
  • Ship safely to the live product using non-destructive migrations and feature branches while avoiding disruption for existing clients.
  • Work closely with product to understand the purpose behind features.
Desired Qualifications
  • B2B or multi-tenant SaaS experience.
  • Experience in regulated sectors such as finance or legal.
  • Playwright or other end-to-end testing experience.
