Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a welder is required.
Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools is required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs is required.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including outdoor exposure and elevated workspaces, is required.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds is required.
Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
Maintain and repair welding machinery.
Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors.
Follow and enforce safety regulations, including the use of heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Desired Qualifications
A valid welding certificate from an accredited institution is preferred.
Intermediate-level expertise in welding techniques and metallurgy is desirable.
Attention to detail is desirable.
Job Summary:
The Welder is responsible for laying out, fitting, and fabricating metal components to assemble structural forms in a mechanical environment. This role requires intermediate-level expertise in welding techniques, metallurgy, and interpreting engineering specifications. Key duties include performing tack and full welds, inspecting weld quality, reading blueprints, and operating precision measuring tools. The Welder II must demonstrate reliability, a willingness to learn, and maintain a positive attitude while working in physically demanding conditions that may include outdoor exposure and elevated workspaces.
Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
