Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering is required.
  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification is required.
  • Five to ten or more years of environmental compliance or remediation experience is required.
  • Regulatory interpretation and data quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) skills are required.
  • Competencies required include risk awareness and communication.
  • Security clearance requirements include a Facility Clearance, and if the work conducted involves classified tasks a Department of Energy clearance level as indicated in the task description is required.
  • Place of performance is the Hanford Field Office in Richland, Washington, with work conducted predominantly on-site at the Hanford Site and potential for some remote support as approved.
Responsibilities
  • Support RCRA, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
  • Produce regulator-ready compliance packages.
  • Groundwater monitoring and analysis responsibilities as part of the Groundwater Program Analyst role.
  • Provide environmental compliance and groundwater program support to the Hanford Field Office (HFO) under General Support Services (GSS).
  • Support daily business activities related to program and project management in Environment, Safety and Health and Quality Assurance functional areas.
  • Work on-site at Hanford Field Office with some remote support as approved; assist in regulatory reporting and data interpretation.
