Requirements
  • 10+ years building payments, Payments Risk or risk related products in a product management role
  • Prior experience working with Payments Risk including Machine Learning, Transaction Risk. (Fintech experience strongly preferred)
  • A subject matter expert on payments risk detection, Machine Learning and AI providing guidance and support to internal teams and partners.
  • Experience leading complex projects, leveraging ML, operations, and signals from external vendors
  • Technical chops with experience as an engineer, data scientist, analyst, or operations
  • Experience integrating Gen AI as solution and delivering business value
  • Thrives in a startup environment: loves dealing with fast pace, changing needs, and limited resources.
Responsibilities
  • Align the Machine Learning roadmap with Payments Risk, Payments, and overall Airbnb priorities.
  • Set business and platform objectives for each project, ensuring timely delivery and value.
  • Establish a framework to test new models, analyze performance, and iterate quickly based on results.
  • Collaborate with the risk team and stakeholders to integrate ML solutions and identify new areas for ML application.
  • Expand the use of ML solutions in payments risk, including fraud management and dispute resolution, while leveraging Gen AI to address emerging threats.
