Requirements
  • You have been building AI products for 3+ years, with experience in production large language model agents, evaluations, tool-use systems, retrieval or memory systems, or workflow automation.
  • You are comfortable working across the stack and across levels of abstraction, from deciding what the agent should do next to diagnosing why a PostgreSQL row ended up in the wrong state.
  • You notice important problems, form a point of view, and drive them to completion without waiting for a detailed specification.
  • You want to understand the customer problem deeply enough to encode judgment into software.
  • You are excited by early-stage ambiguity, fast iteration, and a small team where everyone contributes across product, engineering, design, and customer problems.
Responsibilities
  • Build agent capabilities end to end, including planning loops, tool use, prompts and instructions, memory, review workflows, evaluations, backend services, and customer-facing product surfaces.
  • Design safe action systems across integrations such as GitHub, Webflow, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Notion, and Slack.
  • Build observability and evaluation workflows to understand agent behavior, catch regressions, and measure whether Sunbeam is improving at the job.
  • Debug production agent runs from model output through database state, tool calls, customer context, and external application programming interface behavior.
  • Work directly with customers and internal operators to turn expert growth judgment into product behavior.
  • Ship quickly across the stack, including changing agent instructions, adding an MCP tool, creating a memory-management skill, tuning a review gate, and fixing a frontend workflow.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience at a marketing, sales, or growth artificial intelligence company.
  • Experience building products from 0 to 1 and 1 to 10 at an early-stage startup.
  • Familiarity with C#, .NET, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, or MCP-style tool integrations.

After Y Combinator rejection, AI search startup Daydream raises $15M

Daydream, an AI-powered SEO agency, has raised $15 million in a Series A round led by WndrCo, with participation from First Round Capital and Basis Set Ventures. The startup has now raised $21 million in total. Founded by CEO Thenuka Karunaratne and CTO Shravan Rajinikanth, Daydream combines AI agents that handle SEO tasks like keyword strategy and content creation with human oversight. The company serves marketing and SEO teams at firms with 20 to 1,000 employees, including Clay, Replit, OpenArt and Beacons. Karunaratne, who built affiliate websites in high school, was rejected by Y Combinator but chose to pursue independent fundraising. He says AI is changing the economics of agencies, making them more attractive to VCs. The funding will expand Daydream's product, engineering and growth teams.
