Requirements
  • Fluency in American Sign Language is required for the Deaf Program.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one year of experience in the mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation field, or an acceptable combination of education and experience, is required.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • The candidate must be proficient in American Sign Language.
Responsibilities
  • Prompt residents to start their day and assist with daily activities.
  • Monitor medication and facilitate transportation.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, make appointments, assist with cleaning and cooking, and provide overall caregiving support.
  • Support individuals in their recovery journey from mental illness, physical illness, and substance use.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field is preferred.
  • Understanding of recovery-oriented mental health approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support individuals of diverse backgrounds.
  • Crisis intervention and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in American Sign Language is listed as a preferred skill, although the posting also states that it is required for the Deaf Program.
