  • Lead the integrated human-research workforce and operating cadence.
  • Direct or provide functional leadership to clinical research coordinators and other program staff.
  • Define roles and coverage models; set performance and quality expectations; develop onboarding and training; and resolve workload and accountability problems.
  • Create a collaborative culture centered on participants, scientific rigor, and reliable execution.
  • Design and oversee the CHAMP biorepository and end-to-end biospecimen system across clinical and laboratory settings.
  • Establish standard operating procedures, governance, access and prioritization principles, chain-of-custody and inventory controls, quality metrics, storage and continuity plans, and processes for retrieval, shipment, and collaboration.
  • Lead resolution of high-impact specimen, capacity, or system failures.
  • Own the program's regulatory, compliance, and operational risk framework in partnership with the Principal Investigator and UCSF offices.
