- A Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology is required.
- At least 2 years of experience is required.
- Good interpersonal skills are required.
- Technical skills are required.
- The candidate must be people-oriented, flexible, and adaptable.
- The candidate must continuously upgrade knowledge of new trends in the field.
- Collect blood from outpatient and inpatient department-directed patients.
- Carry out procedures according to standard operating procedures.
- Inform operating theatre, intensive care unit, and ward teams of STAT reports within reasonable time limits.
- Inform the Supervisor of instrument breakdowns or other impediments to the work structure.
- Ensure that testing quality standards and practices are complied with, maintained, and evaluated when necessary.
- Reject materials that appear unsuitable for testing.
- Immediately call the biomedical engineer to report breakdowns.
- In emergencies, outsource samples to other laboratories or hospitals in the event of equipment breakdown.
- Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of tests, including documentation, and make appropriate changes to test procedures.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve service or quality issues with follow-through.
- Provide written management information system reports at routine intervals.
