About the job
- Proven experience of 7+ years as an indirect buyer, preferably in MRO, Capex, annual rate contract, and annual maintenance contract procurement.
- High proficiency in project management and engineering concepts for technical discussions with the supply base.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data to drive decision-making.
- Working experience in operations and procurement or tendering, including engagement with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of processes and compliance, with an objective of continuous improvement.
- Experience with cost buildup and information technology skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with annual rate contract and annual maintenance contract processes and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, including Oracle.
- Knowledge of relevant procurement regulations and compliance standards.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for MRO and Capex procurement categories to create value over time.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and purchase requisition-to-purchase order processes according to procurement policy.
- Float requests for quotation through the electronic bidding process, analyze results, negotiate with suppliers, and finalize supplier selection.
- Develop and execute purchases supporting manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering requirements through cost-effective solutions with year-over-year saving targets.
- Determine cost-effective and efficient ordering methods, meet timelines, and identify risks with mitigation plans.
- Track purchase orders and communicate with user teams about item availability, order lead time, and order status.
- Maintain files, records, and documents related to purchasing activities, including vendor pricing and work-order information.
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify potential vendors for annual rate contract and annual maintenance contract agreements, and negotiate favorable terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with legal and finance departments to review and finalize annual rate contract and annual maintenance contract agreements while ensuring legal and financial compliance.
- Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities through contract agreements, supplier consolidation, process improvements, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor and manage the execution of annual rate contract and annual maintenance contract agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and tracking performance metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may affect procurement processes and commercial implications.
