Requirements
  • Completed degree or vocational training in transport, logistics, or a comparable field.
  • Experience in operations and/or workforce planning in passenger or freight rail transport.
  • Deep expertise in the IVU program beyond normal user proficiency, particularly optimizing duty and circulation plans and duty sequences.
  • Strong commercial and technical understanding for evaluating and developing planning scenarios.
  • Ability to work in a structured and autonomous manner with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordinating across different specialist departments.
  • Fluent German; additional foreign-language skills are an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for IVU and the interface between operations planning and workforce planning in the COO area.
  • Own IVU as the central planning tool and connect operations planning with medium- and long-term workforce planning.
  • Introduce IVU into operations and workforce planning as a super user and continuously develop its applications.
  • Train internal employees and external partner companies in using IVU and share knowledge.
  • Introduce and further develop the new intra-year construction module according to the Annex VII process, including partial committee work and support for Federal Network Agency topics.
  • Optimize circulations, duties, and duty sequences for quality, reliability, and cost across current and future timetable periods and related intra-year time slices.
  • Determine medium- and long-term workforce requirements and provide location-specific full-time-equivalent workforce calculations for each time slice.
  • Model workforce-requirement scenarios for FlixTrain's growth and derive recommendations for reporting locations and recruiting targets.
