Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in an analytically rigorous role (e.g. investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate strategy) or a similar role within the media and entertainment industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Proven analytical skills, including experience using complex modeling to inform key business decisions
  • Proven track record of leading high-impact projects in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior leadership
Responsibilities
  • Lead evaluation of Original Series under consideration for greenlight and renewal, synthesizing creative context, financial models, and strategic fit
  • Analyze Prime Video viewership data to surface insights that inform senior leadership decisions on content strategy and investment
  • Act as a cross-functional strategic partner, building strong working relationships across teams including creative development, physical production, business affairs, finance, programming, marketing, and PR
  • Serve as a knowledge center and champion of improvements in economic modelling, performance forecasting, and reporting frameworks, continuously evolving internal tools and methodologies to sharpen decision-making and improve team efficiency
  • Synthesize complex information from multiple stakeholders to draft documents that shape the direction of Prime Video’s Series slate, including recommendations on slate planning, content investments, new business models, and 'think big' opportunities

Amazon adds free cloud gaming to Fire TV via PHYND's ad-supported service

Amazon's Texas data centre set to become America's biggest polluter with 33M tons CO2 yearly

Amazon is constructing a natural gas power plant in West Texas permitted to emit up to 33 million tonnes of CO2 annually, potentially double the output of America's current dirtiest power station. The facility will exclusively serve an adjacent Amazon Web Services AI data centre. Developed by Pacifico Energy with Amazon financing, the plant features 35 gas turbines and up to 7.65 gigawatts of capacity. The permitted emission ceiling of 33 million tonnes compares with roughly 16 million tonnes from Alabama's James H. Miller Jr. coal plant, currently the nation's highest emitter.
