Requirements
  • 0-2 years' experience in an industrial setting process/product chemical engineering or operations, or power plant operations, depending on type of experience.
  • Three (3) years' experience in an industrial setting process/product chemical engineering or operations, or power plant operations, depending on type of experience.
  • Five (5) years' experience in an industrial setting process/product chemical engineering or operations, or power plant operations, depending on type of experience.
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory concepts and techniques, particularly as they relate to analytical techniques for high-purity water.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Basic computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Laboratory skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills, instrumentation skills, and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment or process problems.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections or walk downs, including working at heights.
  • Education Level: High School graduate Required: GED
  • Must have and maintain a valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Confined Space Training and Fire Brigade Training will be required for the successful candidate and engage in quarterly fire brigade drill to ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Must have a valid TWIC card or proof of TWIC card application prior to employment.
  • Must score “recommended” on POSS (Plant Operator Selection System) test for Associate and Mid-Level position.
  • Must be able to work on offshore platform
  • Perform duties that are strenuous and physically demanding, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and operating firefighting equipment in high-heat environments (must be able to lift at least 25lbs).
  • Maintain physical fitness necessary for emergency response activities.
  • Serve as a member of the confined space rescue team, responding to emergencies involving restricted or hazardous environments.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in tight, enclosed spaces under challenging conditions.
  • Operate while wearing supplied air breathing systems (SCBA or equivalent) for extended periods during rescue operations and must have and maintain a valid Respiratory Fit Test Certification.
Responsibilities
  • Operates the facility including monitoring and operating LNG process systems and utilities, DCS consoles, loading/unloading of LNG ships, and safety/environmental compliance.
  • Reviews and trains on environmental safety operations and security procedures.
  • Records and evaluates operating performance data and informs Shift Supervisor and/or Management of potential problems and failures in a timely manner.
  • Works with Shift Supervisor and/or Lead Operator to expeditiously resolve plant problems and improve plant reliability and safety.
  • May analyze chemistry and adjust chemical concentrations as required.
  • Monitors steam piping system and associated equipment; obtain readings from steam condensate and flow meters and interpret readings to make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Performs all duties applying safety and environmental protocols and adhering to regulatory mandates.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned.
  • Give direction to LNG Technicians as necessary.
Desired Qualifications
  • Recent experience with LNG and Control Room experience is preferred.
  • Petrochemical NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable for LNG Technician (Operations).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to operate in a team-centric work environment focusing on mutual respect and integrity.
