Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of four (4) years web design, web design experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum three (3) years’ experience designing or developing web applications for high traffic consumer facing websites.
  • Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software.
  • Ability to create user-centered designs that prioritize usability and accessibility.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
  • Able to understand and utilize web standards and protocols (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of design trends
  • Experience creating wireframes and mocks with Figma, and experience using Figjam for planning and prototyping.
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries
  • Experience working within the sports industry, ideally working with sports leagues or governing bodies
  • Experience designing prototypes using design tools such as Figma, Sketch etc.
  • Experience designing websites using responsive design best practices
  • Experience designing and developing for and within an enterprise CMS
Responsibilities
  • Interpret client specifications and identify both web and mobile requirements.
  • Participate in ideation meetings, creation of business requirements documents, wireframing, and full mock creation.
  • Develop tools and interfaces for integrating design systems to existing design and development workflows.
  • Design and code superior technical solutions, enforcing design standards.
  • Recognize and evaluate system deficiencies; implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain responsibility for the end-user experience ( UI / UX ) to improve usability and continuous enhance products.
  • Write new documentation as needed; evaluate existing documentation for thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Work closely with development to bridge design and engineering work effort.
  • Work with the Technical Operations Team to support Live Race Events (occasional weekends on-site).
  • Work with the Technical Operations Team to support the deployment of new website releases (occasional weekday nights).
  • Travel: 5%
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
