Responsibilities
Supervise and review assigned quality-control inspectors, perform field inspections as needed, and review preparation of inspection reports and sketches.
Ensure inspectors complete and document inspection results through reports and logs, summarize rework and waste, and submit information to the appropriate parties within the timeframes established by the statement of work or contract.
Prepare and maintain contract quality records and technical requirements, and resolve quality issues.
Ensure the Project Quality Plan is implemented and followed on site.
Conduct ongoing visual inspections of installations on site throughout the project.
Maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, and recording quality results.
Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for rework, and confirming rework.
Coordinate with Production, customers, and third-party surveyors as required.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Manage and record quality issues.
Desired Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Additional American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI) certification.
NDT and/or NACE skills.
Knowledge of welding materials and codes/specifications; NAVSEA experience preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.
