Requirements
  • Six months of experience as an ABA therapist or one year of experience working with children with disabilities or autism is preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check.
  • A reliable car and driver's license for commuting to clients' homes.
  • A high school degree.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend and squat for up to an hour per day.
  • Must be able to perform activities requiring fine and gross motor skills, including bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting at floor level or in a chair, and standing for periods.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct one-to-one ABA therapy sessions with early learners and young adults with autism in home or community settings.
  • Implement behavioral interventions and individualized treatment plans for children ages 2 to 21.
  • Participate in BCBA trainings, team meetings, client observations, and parent training as needed.
  • Maintain open and direct communication with the BCBA and other RBT team members about treatment delivery to pediatric patients.
  • Receive BCBA supervision for at least 10% of services provided.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with child patients and their families in accordance with the BACB.
  • Enter data and all trials used daily for each pediatric patient and targeted program.
  • Remain available for supervision sessions, phone conferences, and team meetings required by the BCBA.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience as a nanny, teacher, teacher assistant, paraprofessional, special education teacher, early childhood education provider, daycare teacher, or holding a psychology degree is identified as experience that has supported successful transitions into the RBT role.
