Requirements
At least 8 years of professional experience in a client-driven user-experience environment involving web and mobile work.
Strong knowledge of user-centered design tools and methodology, particularly for web-based and mobile-based applications.
An engaging portfolio demonstrating both the end results of the candidate's work and their design thinking process.
Ability to function as a thought leader.
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, and InVision.
Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
Responsibilities
Work directly with Design, Technology, Quality Assurance, and Client Services teams to develop interactive experiences for clients.
Use user, stakeholder, and competitive research, along with customer personas and stories, to construct conceptual designs, storyboards, information architecture, clickable prototypes, and functional specifications for responsive websites, transactional web applications, and portals.
Produce scalable content structures, including taxonomies and metadata, for organizing, retrieving, and displaying data.
Work closely with clients to uncover transformational business needs.
Present and defend user-experience deliverables and build consensus among stakeholders.
Lead usability testing and measure improvements to design solutions through usability-testing methods.
Work closely with the Creative Director and ensure that a user-experience process is implemented across all client projects.
Assist with internal digital products and services, including marketing, social media, and content strategies.
Job Description
We have an immediate opportunity for a Director of User Experience who will work directly with Design, Technology, Quality Assurance and Client Services teams to develop meaningful and valuable interactive experiences for clients. The ideal candidate will leverage user, stakeholder and competitive research, and customer personas and stories developed by Strategy team to construct conceptual designs, storyboards, information architecture, clickable prototypes, and functional specifications for responsive websites, complex transactional web applications and portals. S/he will produce scalable content structures
including taxonomies and metadata used for organizing, retrieving and displaying data. You will work closely with clients to uncover transformational business needs. Will also be expected to present and defend the User Experience deliverables, and build consensus among the various stakeholders. Working with the project team, you will lead usability testing and measure improvements to design solutions through these methods. S/he will also work closely with the Creative Director, and will ensure that a user
experience process is implemented across all client projects. In addition, you will assist, as needed, with
internal Tahzoo digital products and services including marketing, social media and content strategies.
