Assistant Store Manager
About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to motivate a team.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Experience in sales is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Work cooperatively with the Store Manager to create a pleasant and hospitable work environment.
- Maintain excellent customer service relationships.
- Hold staff accountable for compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assist the Store Manager in scheduling Sales Associates.
- Assist with completion of payroll.
- Meet sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain a profitable operation.
- Ensure that the store is well stocked and all production is properly displayed on the sales floor.
- Receive applications and participate in interviewing as needed.
- Assist in training, direction, and supervision of personnel.
- Assist with regular evaluations of store personnel to identify performance strengths and areas for development.
