Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or applicable experience of 8 to 12 years of directly related professional experience, with deep technical abilities in one or more primary products, programs, or technologies.
- Solid understanding of data design and structures.
- At least 8 years of hands-on application design and development across multiple technologies and platforms, including SQL, Python, C, C++, Java, WebSphere, MQ, Microsoft SQL, Oracle SQL, web services, Windows, and Red Hat Linux.
- Experience with data manipulation, reporting, data mining, and analytics tools, including SQL, Crystal Reports, and Business Objects.
- At least 3 years in a lead software development role, including training, guidance, technical standards development and enforcement, and project delivery responsibilities.
- End-user management skills and the ability to manage productive user relationships.
- Knowledge of automated systems design and development processes and standards.
- Unix Bash shell scripting.
- Advanced SQL.
- Database experience with Netezza and Oracle.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in supporting specialized programming projects using web-based and client-server tools.
- Provide level 1-4 production support for data systems, including recommending technology standards and tools, troubleshooting issues, and performing root-cause analysis and resolution in production and non-production environments.
- Support production, design, and development of systems, including recommending technology standards and tools.
- Collaborate across IT and business departments and with external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex system and data issues.
- Perform business and application analysis and design.
- Develop applications using a variety of application development tools.
- Lead teams, coordinate projects, and deploy code.
