Requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and Goodwill associates.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers.
  • Ability to settle customer complaints.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer applications and the internet.
Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers inside and outside the store and by phone.
  • Place merchandise on the sales floor in a timely manner.
  • Ensure items are rung accurately on the register.
  • Perform accurate cash handling, including making change, operating and maintaining the cash register, using the check and charge card machine, and using a calculator.
  • Maintain knowledge of merchandise and answer customer questions courteously and promptly.
  • Keep floor merchandise neat and orderly on racks, shelves, bins, and hangers, and assist customers with purchase selections.
  • Maintain a clean professional appearance.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean register area.
  • Maintain familiarity with store security procedures and exercise security practices when necessary.
  • Perform general housekeeping and store upkeep duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping shelves, and dusting restrooms and dressing rooms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Desired Qualifications
  • A minimum of six months of previous work experience.
  • Previous experience working in a retail environment.
  • Excellent customer service-related skills.
  • Working knowledge of a cash register.
  • Multilingual fluency, including complete fluency in English.
