Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, and logistics.
  • Prior experience managing people in a distribution environment.
  • Strong skills in communication, negotiating, expediting, and vendor performance evaluation.
  • Knowledge and training in purchasing electronic, mechanical, and chemical components.
  • Good understanding of inventory and manufacturing systems.
Responsibilities
  • Record, adjust, and update shipping schedules, new orders, shipping volume, and order changes.
  • Advise appropriate personnel of order changes.
  • Communicate shipment issues or delays to impacted areas, including corrective action plans and resolution timings.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies quickly and effectively.
  • Report sourcing information.
  • Maintain inventory records in an inventory management system, acquire additional stock as required, and distribute stock to fulfill requisitions.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment used to move and transport materials to and from facility storage areas.
  • Organize and coordinate activities and staff schedules to meet fulfillment goals and ensure shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.
  • Collaborate with managers and other departments to develop and modify materials-handling processes and procedures.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop the material-handling and warehouse team.
  • Review purchase order claims for conformance to company policy.
  • Resolve invoice issues with suppliers.
  • Resolve delivery and material issues with suppliers.
  • Ensure on-time delivery from all suppliers.
  • Direct and coordinate the buying and distribution of material, equipment, machinery, and supplies.

  • A degree in management, supply chain, business, or manufacturing is preferred.

Ge Vernova And Seatrium Consortium Awarded Third Contract To Build Hvdc System For Tennet?S Offshore Grid Project In The Netherlands

Monday, 10 June 2024The project is expected to begin in June 2024, with commissioning expected by 2031. The contract is part of the five-year Framework Cooperation Agreement with TenneT announced by the GE Vernova-Seatrium consortium in March 2023. The agreement was signed to cover three projects, each valued at approximately EURO 2 billion: IJmuiden Ver Beta, IJmuiden Ver Gamma, and Nederwiek 2. The current contract is for Nederwiek 2, TenneT’s third project with this consortium. The contracts for IJmuiden Ver Beta and IJmuiden Ver Gamma were awarded to the consortium in March 2023.The HVDC system will support TenneT's sustainability goal of connecting 40 GW of offshore wind energy in the German and Dutch North Sea and will serve the Nederwiek 2 offshore wind farm, located approximately 95 kilometres off the coast of the Netherlands.“With the successful call-off of Nederwiek 2 from the Framework Cooperation Agreement with our Partners GE Vernova and Seatrium, we are now starting into the delivery of the third project with this consortium” said Dr. Johannes Kammer, Associate Director of Large Projects Offshore - 2GW, TenneT
